What is it about

The NFP sector relies on volunteers for many of its functions. These can range from straight-forward activities such
as stewards at a sponsorship event to more complex roles where application and induction processes are necessary.
So volunteers play a significant role for our clients and therefore also in alms.NET. To understand fully how volunteers are used, alms.NET explicitly defines the processes they feature in. The trick is that volunteers appear in many processes and should not be seen as a separate volunteer management function. In alms.NET the processes ranging from Sponsorship Event management, Major Donors to Members of committees understand that volunteers may feature.

What does it do

  3. Volunteering Requests

  6. VIVA Rates
  7. Volunteering Activity

  9. Influencers
  10. Committee members

Why our clients need this

Some of our clients have volunteers who help manage Local Groups. It is important to be able to communicate with and track these groups of people. Other clients have High Profile Supporters who volunteer to help the organisation through attendance at events or through press coverage.

Another client uses volunteers to help mark and assess potential members and they need to be to assign mentors and assessors to applicants.
