What is it about
Trust Fundraising is about the process of asking for support from trusts and foundations, in most cases
monetary support. The income from trusts and foundations is crucial to an organisation within the NFP sector;
therefore it is essential that the correct approach is made. Generally, NFP organisations will have a project in mind when asking a trust, however, in other instances, the Trust team may be cultivating the individuals at a trust in the same way as a Major Donor Fundraiser would.
What does it do
- Team ownership of Trusts
- 'n' step plan management – Research, Cultivation, Solicitation, Stewardship
- Internal team management – Fundraiser, Influencer, etc.
- Contact Profile – inclination, capacity, minimum/maximum ask, total annual giving
- Relationship building – trustees, employees
- Targets – 3 risk levels and monthly targets settings
- Organisation themes preferences – what the trust will and will not support
- Meeting Diary
- Fundraiser’s caseload and to do list
- Diary to record actions and reminders
- Holds files against the Trust, e.g. applications, letters, etc.
- Application Management
- Pledge Management
Why our clients need this
Our clients’ Trusts activities range from a large team managing a caseload of approximately 50 per fundraiser to a one person team
managing a handful. Any organisation can be part of a Trust’s programme at different levels – whether they are a potential, active, in between
or simply a trust that is contacted when their meeting date is imminent. For each trust, a Fundraiser/Key Worker can be associated –
this will feed into the Fundraiser’s caseload allowing them quick access to their contacts.
Research information can be recorded about any
individual relationships, awards, affiliations and their involvement intentions – e.g. what they will and will not support, how much they are
likely to give.
Proposal and pledge information can also be recorded as well as follow on tasks.
