Fundraising Membership

What is it about

Increasing regular giving income is an essential activity within most charities, the focus being for
direct debit and standing order income. Some charities offer a membership scheme to encourage
supporters to give on a regular basis and with schemes such as these, different payment methods can be used – cheques, CAF Vouchers as well as Direct Debits and Standing Orders. Membership schemes may have benefits associated as well as providing items such as newsletters, membership cards, and advice lines. Examples of such membership schemes are Animal Adoptions, Child/Village sponsorships, Individual Membership and Corporate Membership.

Why our clients need this

Our clients have schemes which differ greatly from each other which alms.NET must take into account and support. Terminology is important to our clients and while words such as Member and Payer may work for one membership scheme they will not work for another. alms.NET provides customisable terminology to suit the scheme (e.g. Horse Adopter, Child Sponsor).

For some clients the main involvement with a supporter is the membership scheme. Quick processing is key to managing this relationship and alms.NET provides membership templates to assist in streamlining the process.

Communication is key to any membership scheme. It is important that the supporters are being communicated with effectively and efficiently so that they continue with the scheme. alms.NET provides different templates for welcome packs, newsletters and renewal communications which can be set up at the outset so that the production of these can be automated.
